Cyrus X Power Amplifier
The Cyrus X Power is the reference power amplifier in the Cyrus series. It is a switchable Stereo / Mono power amplifier based on the power amp layout of the Cyrus 8XPd. Conservatively rated at 70W/ch into 8 ohms and upgradeable in stages to 130W mono (with PSX-R), the Cyrus X Power is the perfect partner for the Cyrus X series preamplifiers, the PreXPd and DACXP, or as an upgrade power amplifier for the Cyrus 8XPd.
Switching the amp into mono (bridging it) allows it to be used with another Cyrus X Power to upgrade a system from 2 x 70 watts to 2 x 120 watts which provides a significant improvement in speaker drive. Adding a PSX-R further boosts power to 130 watts.
Signal sensing auto start and auto power down, plus built-in MC-Bus system control compatibility, make this a truly intelligent power amp, ideal for high-performance audio systems or as an a power amp powering to additional channels in an AV system.
Serious power upgrade to any Cyrus system, and if you can’t quite make the leap straight to a pair of Mono Xs, you can buy these one at a time.
