Project Xperience X-Pack Hi-Fi Turntable
The Pro-Ject Xperience is a turntable with performance to match its terrific looks and is one of the easiest-to-operate designs available. The "X-Pack" is this well-reviewed turntable, bundled with the Project Speedbox (worth £45), enabling electronic speed change, and the Ortofon Rhondo Red cartridge (worth £300) factory fitted - all for a bargain "X-Pack" price.
High quality carbon-fibre tone arm, sandwich MDF/vinyl platter and suspended motor are all coupled to an attractive Perspex baseboard which sits atop three adjustable feet which, themselves, contain anti-resonant material to decouple the deck from the shelf it sits on.
Low-tolerance chrome-plated stainless-steel axle runs on a Teflon bearing plate in a sintered bronze bearing housing. Motor decoupled to reduce vibration. Sorbothane-damped aluminium cone feet.
Tonearm bearing comprises inverted hardened stainless-steel points and sapphire thrust-pads. Conical carbon fibre armtube allows adjustment of needle azimuth despite fixed headshell. Vertical tracing angle adjustable. MDF platter with perimeter belt drive, vinyl playing surface and record clamp.
