The Isol-8 Substation³ is a true high performance mains conditioning and distribution solution for a complete system.
Sharing the proven format of the Isol-8 Minisub2, but with improved performance, the Substation³ has six outputs divided into four low current and two high current outlets.
The four outlets optimised for source components each have their own dedicated filter. This prevents noise generated from each component within the system degrading the performance of another. This key feature allowed the original Minisub to take the market by storm by punching far above its weight. The Substation³ refines the principle further, the powerful filter topology gives excellent electrical performance, individually isolating each output. Two are equipped with additional traps specific to display and digital source noise.
The two high current outlets are optimised for loads such as power amplifiers. A very low series resistance multistage topology means that high peak currents are passed effortlessly whilst being effectively filtered. All outputs are surge and spike protected.
The beautifully crafted chassis with a CNC engineered 10mm alloy front panel, features a 20A Neutrik latching input connector. The inlet is centrally positioned to minimise electrical and magnetic interaction between the two filter groups. All outlets are isolated from the chassis on acrylic panels to facilitate true star earthing. This attention to detail, together with parts of the highest quality, help reap further rewards in sound quality.
