The Cyrus 8 power amplifier is a switchable Stereo / Mono power amplifier based on the power amp layout of the Cyrus 8XP. It is rated at 60W/8ohm, 30A pk (stereo), 110W/8ohm (mono).
The Cyrus 8 power amplifier is the ideal partner for the new PreXP, or equally it will be a perfect match to bi-amp the Cyrus 8XPd. Both these combinations sound exceptionally good and offer outstanding value, not only sonically, but because the Cyrus 8 power amplifier is so upgradeable.
Switching the amp into mono (bridging it) allows it to be used with another Cyrus 8 power amplifier to upgrade a system from 2 x 60 watts to 2 x 110 watts which provides a significant improvement in speaker drive. Additional improvements can be gained by adding a PSX-R, boosting system resolution and power to 125W mono. It can also be upgraded further as we offer a Factory upgrade to the next range up, the X power, which delivers even more performance.
As you upgrade your hi-fi system, the Cyrus 8 power amplifier evolves to meet your demands, adding power and finesse with each upgrade. You may run it in stereo or mono, with or without the matching PSX-R. Auto start and auto power down, plus built-in MC-Bus system control compatibility, make this a truly intelligent power amp, ideal for high-performance audio systems or a Cyrus-quality AV system.
