Onkyo TX-NR509 AV Reciever and Kef KHT 2005.3 Speaker Package

When it comes to setting up the Onkyo TX-NR509 AV Reciever, Audyssey 2EQ works to adapt the soundstage to the unique dimensions of your room. On-the-fly adjustments to audio and video settings are simple, thanks to the user-friendly overlaid on-screen display. The receiver's four advanced HDMI inputs handle stunning high-definition audio from Dolby and DTS, as well as dynamic new 3D video. Further connectivity highlights include a new front-panel USB port that offers a clean digital link for both iPod/iPhone and USB storage devices, and Zone 2 line-outs that let you send a stereo audio signal to a second room equipped with an amp and speakers. All in all, the Onkyo TX-NR509 AV Reciever offers a superb feature set for the valueconscious home cinema fan.
The Kef KHT 2005.3 Speaker Package comprises four HTS2001.3 satellites, an HTC2001.3 centre speaker and the new KUBE-2 subwoofer. The five little speakers use the same multidirectional mount found on the KHT3005 speakers, giving better stability and a wider range of positioning options.
The Kef KHT 2005.3 Speaker Package also use KEF's acclaimed Uni-Q speaker system, comprising a mid/bass driver with a tweeter at its centre. The version in these speakers is 10cm model, and uses neodymium magnets.
The new subwoofer with the Kef KHT 2005.3 Speaker Package, which will also be available separately, combines a 25.4cm woofer with a 200W amplifier, in a 23-litre enclosure. It also has a bass boost function, enabling its output to be tailored to the room or user preference.
The Kube-2 subwoofer providing a performance that belies its size, with a 200W onboard amplifier driving an 10 inch long-throw bass unit and an 8-inch auxilary bass driver, the output can be adjusted for both frequency and level, for better personalisation.
The KUBE-2 delivers a well defined and impressive bass that is sure to rock any home theatre. The 200W on-board Class-D amplifier has all the flexibility you need for personalising the output with frequency and level adjustments and a ‘Bass Boost’ control so any personal preference or room specific conditions can be catered for. The KUBE-2 features a side-firing 250mm (10in.) long-throw bass driver and a complementing 250mm (10in.) ABR and is available in black with a high gloss upper surface.
