We want you to be able to do business with us in the fashion that suits you best.
We'd prefer to see all our customers in our store but realise that for many of you this isn't possible. However, we feel it is important that we look after our distance customers as well as our local ones. Please read the following terms and conditions that relate to equipment ordered by our shopping basket system.
You will notice that many of the products we sell in store are not available for mail order. It is not that
we don't want to supply you. Instead it is our belief that these
products require demonstration and installation, something that is only
possible if you are based in East Yorkshire. We are not prepared to
compromise the performance by not being able to ensure the job is done
right. We will however gladly point you in the direction of a retailer
more local to yourself who will be able to help.
1.How do I place an order?
Ordering is simple and totally secure using an encrypted system. Use the shopping basket system to choose your items and then follow the simple instructions to complete the order. We'll take care of the rest. We would be delighted to speak to you prior to making a purchase if you need help or advice. You can call or email us and we'll give you as much time as you need. Our 50 plus years of advice is at your disposal.
If you prefer, you can also use your credit/debit card when ordering over the ‘phone. Or you can pay by cheque if you don't mind waiting for the cheque to clear prior to goods being shipped.
Finally - for security your card details and sensitive DATA is not stored by us and is NEVER passed on to ANY third party.

Our aim is to deliver as quickly as possible. If delivery will be longer than 21 days you will be advised when we receive your order. We will refund any items where delays prove unacceptable to you.
Shipping costs? - What shipping costs! We do not charge for shipping to addresses in the Mainland UK. There are no additional costs. VAT @ 20% is also INCLUDED in all prices.
4. Our pricing policy
It is our aim to offer transparent and fair prices for everything on this site. From time to time we offer clearance, x-demo or end-of-line items and they are always clearly marked as such. In any event we try to ensure all our prices are as competitive as possible. We are not always the cheapest but we think you will find that our service is second to none and our selections is the best possible.
Your Privacy is vitally important to us and we respect it. We hold none of your DATA once your transaction is completed. In any event the only data we collect is to process your order and to provide you with the best service.
5. 14 day money back guarantee
We go to great lengths to ensure the products are the best in their class but in the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase we will offer an alternative or a refund (except return shipping cost) within 14 days, when purchased at distance. Returned goods must be returned in perfect condition and with all packing intact for refund to be considered. We advise our customers to keep ALL packaging safe for this reason.
ALL PRODUCTS COME WITH THE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTIES AND ARE BRAND NEW IN SEALED BOXES UNLESS OTHERWISE CLEARLY STATED
6. Complaints procedure?
In the extremely unlikely event that you have a complaint concerning A.Fanthorpe Ltd, contact us directly by email at email@example.com or by telephone on (01482) 223096. We will acknowledge receipt of your email within 2 working days. Your complaint will be personally dealt with by a senior manager and you will be kept informed during all stages of the complaints procedure. We will fix it if is it damaged, replace it it is not right for you and put right any reasonable complaint. Satisfied customers built our business and we pride ourselves on looking after them.
Please note: Our customer service telephone line is manned from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Saturday. An answering service operates outside these hours for you to leave a message.
7. Terms and conditions; General
Any product information on this site is provided to help you make meaningful choices prior to purchase. This site is changed often and without notice. Any links are there to provide additional information. A.Fanthorpe Ltd are not responsible for the content or accuracy of these sites.
Your statutory rights as a consumer will not be affected.
8. What to do in the event of of products arriving damaged/Faulty?
We pack things exceptional well and cover them in brown paper for added security. However, in the event shipping loss or damage, the item(s) will be replaced as quickly as stock arrives. The damaged items will also be uplifted.
9. What methods of payment do we accept?
We are authorized Credit Card Merchants accepting; Visa, Master Card, Euro card, Switch, Delta, and Solo. We can take these cards over the telephone as well as via our shopping basket system. We also accept cheques made payable to A.Fanthorpe Ltd.
Online payments use the Paypal payment system which uses a combination of established and innovative techniques to ensure the security and integrity of all sensitive data. Our internet facing web servers are certified by Verisign, this ensures that no third parties can impersonate Paypal to obtain secure information.
