The Aurender NH10 Network Switch is a reference-grade audiophile network switch designed specifically for music lovers who demand the highest possible performance from their streaming systems. Modern streaming systems rely heavily on network infrastructure, yet standard network switches can introduce noise and timing inconsistencies that may affect overall audio performance. The Aurender NH10 is specifically designed to minimise these issues, providing a cleaner and more stable platform for network audio devices. The result is improved clarity, greater musical engagement, enhanced dynamics and a more realistic listening experience across all genres of music.
At the heart of the NH10 is an ultra-stable OCXO (Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator) clock with an impressive frequency stability of less than 0.005 ppm. This highly accurate timing system ensures data packets are processed and transmitted with exceptional precision. By reducing timing errors and network-induced jitter, the NH10 allows connected audio components to operate with greater accuracy, resulting in improved focus, better imaging and more natural musical timing.
A sophisticated FPGA-controlled synchronisation system coordinates all internal operations using a single master clock source. This advanced approach dramatically reduces timing discrepancies throughout the switch and enhances overall signal integrity. For listeners, this translates into a more coherent soundstage, greater detail retrieval and improved separation between instruments and vocals.
For ultimate performance, the Aurender NH10 includes a dedicated 10MHz BNC master clock input. This allows integration with an external reference clock, providing even greater timing accuracy and system optimisation. Electrical noise remains one of the biggest challenges in digital audio. The NH10 combats interference through multiple layers of noise suppression technology. Its precision-machined aluminium chassis provides excellent protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), while also reducing mechanical vibrations that could affect sensitive circuitry. These measures help maintain signal purity and contribute to a quieter, more transparent listening experience.
Unlike many network switches that rely on noisy switch-mode power supplies, the NH10 employs a fully linear power supply architecture throughout the entire unit. Dedicated linear regulation stages deliver exceptionally clean and stable power to every critical circuit, eliminating many of the high-frequency artefacts associated with conventional power designs. This cleaner power delivery improves transparency, tonal accuracy and dynamic expression throughout the audio system.
The NH10 incorporates extensive galvanic isolation technology to prevent unwanted electrical noise from travelling between connected devices. Advanced filtering is employed on every RJ45 Ethernet port, while optically isolated SFP ports provide complete electrical separation when used with fibre-optic networking. This significantly reduces the transfer of interference throughout the network, helping to lower noise levels and improve overall system performance.
