Developed from the same design philosophy as AVID’s Reference preamplifier, it refines and extends earlier engineering achievements rather than departing from them, focusing on absolute signal purity, tonal realism, and musical engagement.
Unlike designs that chase specification-led improvements, Velsonic is built around the idea of removing anything that could obscure the original cartridge signal. Every stage of its development is aimed at lowering noise, improving linearity, and preserving the natural flow of music without editorialising the source material.
The AVID Velsonic Phono Stage is built around a fully discrete analogue signal path, designed to maintain the integrity of the extremely low-level signal produced by a phono cartridge. By avoiding digital circuitry entirely, the design ensures that no unnecessary processing is introduced between the stylus and the line-level output.
