Announcement: Exciting Price Reduction on the Neat Motive Series!

Fantastic news! Neat Acoustics have significantly reduced the pricing of their beloved Motive series, these prices are effective immediately and for the foreseeable future.

Let's delve into the details of the new pricing structure:

All models are available in four finishes: oak, walnut, black oak and satin white.

The matching Motive SXC centre speaker is available in all finishes which now retails at £995.

The Motive series made its debut in 2005 and underwent a significant update in 2013.

The primary aims of the Motive lineup encompass:

  • Providing outstanding performance through compact, modern cabinets with visual appeal.
  • Crafting easy-to-drive designs that maintain a consistent and harmonious sound across the entire range.
  • Delivering a high standard of AV/multi-channel performance.

For Neat, the Motive series marked a noteworthy milestone as it signified entry into the more mainstream market, previously dominated by larger manufacturers. A fresh tweeter was engineered for this series, drawing inspiration from the inverted titanium dome found in the original Ultimatum models. This innovative tweeter delivers highly detailed, uncompressed performance, lending the Motive models an unparalleled level of dynamic and micro-dynamic clarity within its price range.

In 2013, the complete Motive series underwent a transformation to the 'SX' designation, adopting an enhanced version of the NMT tweeter, known as the SXT. The SXT tweeter retains the substantial magnet system while introducing an anodised aluminum dome to replace the prior titanium one. Moreover, the crossovers, tuning, and internal components were overhauled, leading to comprehensive enhancements in overall performance.

The Motive SX range comprises three primary models: the SX1, SX2, and SX3, all of which share numerous common attributes. These designs are both elegant and room-friendly, available in a selection of real wood veneers or a satin white paint finish.

Constructed from high-grade MDF, the Motive range models are fortified with extensive internal damping and bracing. All standard models feature a 134mm treated paper cone main drive unit and Neat's SXT tweeter. The 134mm main drive unit strikes an excellent balance between speed, articulation, and bass extension. The SXT tweeter is an evolution of Neat’s original NMT tweeter, exclusively tailored for the Motive series. It delivers analytically rich performance with remarkable dynamics. Importantly, unlike many analytical devices, the SXT tweeter offers a smooth, fatigue-free presentation, ensuring extended enjoyment during listening sessions.

The crossover networks integrate top-tier customized components manufactured to exacting tolerances, and they're all hardwired, directly connecting each element without relying on printed circuit boards. This design results in a cleaner signal pathway and heightened resolution.

All models present a benign impedance load, making them compatible with relatively modest entry-level amplification setups, thus offering considerable flexibility in usage.

Additionally, there exists a Motive center-channel model, the SXC, tailored for high-quality home cinema applications.
