Cyrus Introduces Cutting-Edge Stereo Power Amplifiers in XR and Classic Series

The British hi-fi brand, Cyrus, has launched new XR and Classic stereo power amplifiers, showcasing their busy year of product releases. 

Class A/B Amplifiers

These new Class A/B stereo amplifiers, engineered from the ground up, boast a lower noise floor than Cyrus's previous power amps. They also feature high current drive capabilities to handle more demanding loudspeaker loads.

Cyrus Power-XR Amplifier - £2995

The Power-XR, the latest stereo power amplifier from Cyrus, is engineered from scratch. Its a wideband, high current power amplifier can effortlessly drive even the most challenging loudspeakers. The XR series reflects over a decade of accumulated technology and development knowledge, with meticulous attention to detail in every audio path component. The Power-XR responds from D.C. to beyond 100kHz, ensuring a flat frequency response and eliminating undesirable phase shifts. With a generous, over-specified power supply, the Power-XR reproduces the scale and drama of musical performances effectively.

The Power-XR includes a port for the new PSU-XR power supply, sourcing five independent regulated supplies in a single box. For the Power-XR, a pair of these supplies smooth power for the voltage amplifier, while another pair provides a substantial dynamic boost for the power amplifier.

Cyrus Classic Power Amplifier - £2395

The Classic POWER, the latest addition to the familiar Classic range, aims to significantly enhance performance by incorporating lessons learned from the development of the XR Series. While retaining the Classic series design, the circuit topology has been completely re-designed, and internal components have been upgraded by the Cyrus R&D team. This results in sound improvements that will appeal to the Classic series' loyal fan base.

The wideband power amplifier of the Classic POWER responds from D.C. to beyond 50kHz, ensuring a flat frequency response and eliminating undesirable phase shifts. With a generous, over-specified power supply, the Classic POWER effectively reproduces the scale and drama of musical performances.

The Classic Power includes a port for the PSX-R2 power supply, routing power internally to the voltage amplifier stage for a stable, low-noise power supply.
