Pro-Ject Perspective Final Edition: A Limited-Edition Tribute to the Past
Pro-Ject Audio Systems unveils the highly anticipated limited edition Pro-Ject Perspective Final Edition Turntable. Crafted by hand in Europe and restricted to just 400 units, this unique model features a transparent acrylic plinth, symbolizing a nostalgic journey into the brand's history. As the inaugural deck to undergo the Final Edition treatment, Pro-Ject pays homage to its roots by resurrecting a seminal design. Employing the latest construction techniques and upgraded components, the 2023 Perspective Final Edition seamlessly blends classic aesthetics with cutting-edge performance.
Reflecting on the 1990s, the Pro-Ject 6.9 Perspective serves as the inspiration for the 2023 version. The original transparent deck, along with its opaque 6.9 counterpart, marked Pro-Ject's foray into high-end turntables. Building on the success of the Pro-Ject 1 and 2, the 6.9 Perspective shifted design paradigms, moving away from the super-solid build of its predecessors. Instead, it embraced an isolated methodology, featuring a sub-chassis spring that separated the tonearm and platter from the main chassis, effectively minimizing vibrations during the pickup process.
The 2023 Pro-Ject Perspective Final Edition Turntable builds upon its predecessor's stability, incorporating a decoupled sub-chassis and three adjustable springs to prevent vibrations from affecting audio performance. Resting on three height-adjustable aluminum spikes, this model further minimizes contact area to reduce vibration. In tune with contemporary user preferences and Pro-Ject's evolving construction techniques, the 2023 edition introduces an electronic speed-switch-controlled two-speed motor, departing from the original multi-motor setup for those seeking variable vinyl spinning tempos.
Included in the Perspective Final Edition package is a dust cover, along with a Pro-Ject pre-fitted £365 Ortofon 2M Bronze cartridge affixed to the turntable's nine-inch, one-piece carbon fiber tonearm. Purchasers of the limited-edition Perspective Final Edition receive a personalized certificate of ownership and have the option to request a personalized, serial-numbered plaque for their deck by contacting Pro-Ject directly.

Ortofon’s MC X Series represents a new wave in high-fidelity vinyl playback. Building on the solid foundation of the Quintet range, this series introduces a more refined, high-performance line of moving coil (MC) cartridges—all designed and assembled in Denmark.
While the models share core design elements—such as a honeycomb stainless-steel body, silver-plated pure copper coils, and a refined magnet system—the key differences lie in stylus shape, cantilever material, and sonic character. These factors have a profound effect on how the cartridge interacts with the grooves and conveys the music.
Let’s break down the differences between the MC X10, X20, X30, and X40 to help you choose the model that suits your setup and listening preferences.
