The Chord C-line analogue audio interconnect is an original design by Chord Company, tailored to provide high performance at an affordable price without compromising on quality. This cable has consistently won What Hi-Fi? Awards from 2015 to 2022, a testament to its success.

The ARAY conductor geometry used in this cable was derived from the Tuned ARAY conductor configuration, previously employed in Chord's flagship Sarum cable range. The RCA plug is over-moulded and utilizes a direct gold-plating process, enhancing the signal for improved performance.

The main motivation behind creating this cable was to meet the increasing demand for good quality digital players and turntables at a reasonable cost. Chord wanted to offer a cable that matches the performance of such devices, ensuring a coherent and musical signal transmission.

The Chord C-line interconnect features multi-strand oxygen-free copper signal and return conductors, along with high-density overwrapped foil shielding to minimize signal loss caused by high-frequency interference. The unique gold-plating process on the RCA plug enhances signal transfer across all audio frequencies, resulting in a reliable connection.

This versatile cable is designed to work seamlessly with various line level components, such as CD players, streaming devices, DVD players, home theatre amplifiers, tuners, phono stages, and pre-to-power amplifier connections. Additionally, it can be used with RCA equipped turntables. The Chord C-line interconnect is available in 0.5m, 1m, 2m, and 3m lengths, providing options to suit different setups.
