Like every Spendor speaker, the Classic 3/1 is designed, engineered and hand-built at the company's own facility in Sheffield. It carries the same BBC-derived, thin-walled cabinet construction found throughout the Classic Series, with elastomer panel damping and a carefully refined crossover to keep the presentation coherent and natural across the whole frequency range.
For anyone wanting the Classic Series character with genuine bass extension and headroom, but without stepping up to the larger 2/3, the 3/1 is a well-judged middle ground in the standmount line-up.
