KEF Uni-Q Driver Array: Redefining Sound Dispersion

Central to the R7 Meta’s design is KEF’s signature Uni-Q Driver Array, which merges the tweeter and midrange cones into a single assembly. This engineering marvel creates a single point source, enabling an exceptionally wide sound dispersion. The result? To further enhance the Uni-Q’s performance, KEF has upgraded the motor system. By introducing symmetrical aluminum demodulation rings and a refined pole design, voice coil variations are reduced, delivering crystal-clear vocals and midrange frequencies.

Dual 165mm Bass Drivers for Punchy, Accurate Bass

The R7 Meta is equipped with two 165mm hybrid bass drivers, featuring a dual-layer design comprising an inner paper cone and an outer aluminum skin. This combination creates a rigid yet lightweight structure, significantly reducing resonances and ensuring precise pistonic movement. A newly engineered magnet system and improved suspension further minimize distortion, resulting in tight, punchy bass with minimal coloration.

Rigid Cabinets with Advanced Bracing

The cabinet design of the R7 Meta is another testament to KEF’s commitment to perfection. Utilizing Constrained Layer Damping (CLD) bracing, the cabinets effectively dissipate unwanted vibrations.
