The Leema i85 Amplifier is a pure analogue integrated amplifier delivering 85 watts per channel of refined Class A/B power. Designed and engineered by Leema Acoustics, the i85 combines exceptional musical accuracy with the dynamic control needed to drive a wide range of loudspeakers.
Built around Leema’s proven amplifier architecture, the i85 focuses on low distortion, high current delivery and outstanding reliability, making it an ideal centrepiece for a high-performance two-channel hi-fi system.
Precision Class A/B Amplification
At the heart of the Leema i85 is a meticulously engineered Class A/B power amplifier stage designed to deliver effortless dynamics and tight loudspeaker control. Multiple pairs of 15-amp Toshiba output transistors provide generous current headroom and extremely low output impedance, resulting in a high damping factor and precise, controlled bass performance.
Oversized Heatsinks for Long-Term Reliability
Large, oversized heatsinks ensure the output stage remains well within its optimal operating range. This improves long-term reliability while maintaining consistent sonic performance during demanding listening sessions.
Powerful Toroidal Power Supply
A high-quality amplifier demands a powerful and stable power supply. The Leema i85 features a substantial toroidal transformer with dual secondary windings, ensuring clean and stable power delivery to both amplifier channels.
High Reservoir Capacitance for Dynamic Control
Each channel is supported by 27,200 µF of reservoir capacitance, allowing the amplifier to respond instantly to musical transients while maintaining exceptional control and authority. The result is a presentation that feels effortless, dynamic and highly detailed, even with challenging loudspeaker loads.
Pure Analogue Signal Path
The i85 is designed for audiophiles who prefer a fully analogue signal path, ensuring maximum musical purity and minimal signal interference. The preamplifier stage features four high-quality RCA line inputs and low-noise analogue circuitry for excellent clarity and detail retrieval.
Integrated Moving Magnet Phono Stage
A high-performance moving magnet (MM) phono stage derived from the award-winning Essentials Phono design is built in, making the Leema i85 an excellent partner for modern and vintage turntables.
Flexible System Connectivity
Despite its focus on analogue purity, the Leema i85 offers excellent system flexibility. Connections include preamplifier outputs for adding external power amplification, stereo subwoofer outputs for integrating active subwoofers, and a record loop for external recording devices or processors.
