The Monitor Audio Silver AMS 8G is a purpose-built Dolby Atmos® speaker designed to add immersive overhead sound to compatible home cinema systems. Engineered to sit discreetly on top of selected Silver Series 8G loudspeakers, the Silver AMS 8G uses ceiling-reflected audio to create a convincing sense of height without requiring dedicated in-ceiling speakers.

At the heart of the Silver AMS 8G is a 5.25-inch C-CAM bass/mid-range driver featuring RST III cone technology, partnered with a 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter. Together, these advanced drivers deliver precise, controlled and detailed height effects, helping bring Dolby Atmos soundtracks to life with greater realism.
Designed specifically for Dolby Atmos applications, the Monitor Audio Silver AMS 8G adds convincing overhead effects to compatible home cinema systems. Its carefully optimised dispersion and ceiling-reflection design help create a three-dimensional soundstage, making effects such as aircraft, rain and atmospheric movement appear to originate above the listening position. The Silver AMS 8G is optimised for use with the Monitor Audio Silver 50 8G and Silver 300 8G, where its angled enclosure directs sound towards the ceiling for an immersive reflected soundfield.
The new 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter features a vented design and optimised internal enclosure geometry to improve airflow and reduce distortion. An updated compression ring and ring neodymium magnet increase magnetic efficiency, while Monitor Audio's UD Waveguide II helps provide consistent and controlled high-frequency performance.
The 5.25-inch C-CAM bass/mid driver with RST III cone technology has been engineered for improved transparency, control and rigidity. The updated cone geometry helps reduce unwanted colouration, while a newly developed progressive spider, upgraded voice coil and improved venting contribute to greater linearity, power handling and dynamic performance.
Monitor Audio's Silent Flow Port Technology helps optimise airflow and reduce turbulence. The enlarged port diameter and specially developed flare geometry allow air to move more smoothly, reducing unwanted port noise and contributing to cleaner, more controlled low-frequency performance.
The upgraded Silver Series 8G crossover uses carefully selected capacitors, inductors and resistors to improve electrical performance and reduce signal losses. Precise division of frequencies between the C-CAM driver and Gold Dome tweeter delivers smooth integration, enhanced clarity and a coherent, natural presentation.
The Silver AMS 8G features a rigid cabinet with internal bracing and damping to suppress unwanted panel vibration and cabinet resonance. Through-Bolt Driver Technology securely braces the C-CAM drivers to the rear of the cabinet, improving cabinet rigidity while helping eliminate unwanted chassis movement and resonance for cleaner, more accurate sound.
The Silver AMS 8G is designed to integrate seamlessly with the Monitor Audio Silver Series 8G range. Its optimised form factor allows it to sit securely on the Silver 50 8G and Silver 300 8G, providing an elegant way to add Dolby Atmos height channels without installing speakers in the ceiling. Available in three contemporary finishes and supplied with magnetic grilles, the Silver AMS 8G combines sophisticated styling with high-performance immersive audio.
