At the heart of the Silver On-Wall 8G is a 6-inch C-CAM bass/mid driver with RST III cone technology, partnered with a 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter. Together, these advanced drivers deliver a detailed, balanced presentation with excellent clarity, controlled bass and natural vocal reproduction. The speaker can be mounted horizontally or vertically, providing considerable flexibility for both stereo and home cinema applications.
The Monitor Audio Silver On-Wall 8G features a new high-frequency C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter, incorporating a vented design and optimised internal enclosure geometry to improve airflow and reduce distortion. An updated compression ring and ring neodymium magnet increase magnetic efficiency, while the latest UD Waveguide II provides controlled and consistent performance across different listening levels. The result is a precise, open and detailed high-frequency response for music and home cinema.
The 6-inch C-CAM bass/mid driver uses Monitor Audio's latest RST III cone geometry, engineered to improve rigidity and reduce unwanted coloration. The re-engineered motor system delivers greater transparency and control through the critical midrange, helping vocals, dialogue and instruments sound clear and naturally focused. A newly developed progressive spider, upgraded voice coil and improved venting system further enhance linearity, airflow and power handling.
Monitor Audio's new Silent Flow Port Technology is designed to improve bass performance while reducing unwanted turbulence. The larger port diameter allows air to move more smoothly, while its specially developed flare geometry minimises port noise and chuffing. Inspired by the interlocking wing feathers of an owl, the port design guides airflow efficiently through the enclosure, resulting in cleaner and more controlled bass.
The Silver Series 8G crossover has been upgraded with carefully selected high-quality components, including capacitors, inductors and resistors. These provide precise signal division between the bass/mid driver and tweeter while helping minimise losses and unwanted colouration. Careful crossover integration allows the drivers to work together seamlessly, producing a natural, detailed and unprocessed sound.
The slimline design of the Monitor Audio Silver On-Wall 8G makes it particularly well suited to modern home cinema installations. Its flexible mounting orientation allows it to be positioned horizontally or vertically and used as a left, centre or right speaker around a television or projector screen. It can also be used as a side or rear channel in a multi-channel surround sound system, making it a versatile choice for premium home cinema installations.
The Silver On-Wall 8G uses a rigid cabinet with carefully designed internal bracing and damping to reduce unwanted panel vibration and enclosure resonance. This helps improve transient response and overall sonic accuracy. Through-Bolt Driver Technology further strengthens the construction by securely bracing the C-CAM drive unit to the rear of the cabinet, increasing cabinet rigidity and helping suppress unwanted chassis resonances.
