The WiiM Amp Ultra Streaming Amplifier combines powerful Class D amplification, high-resolution music streaming and comprehensive connectivity in one compact, beautifully engineered component. Designed for music lovers who want exceptional versatility without the need for multiple hi-fi separates, the WiiM Amp Ultra delivers an impressive 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms, making it an exciting solution for modern stereo systems and home entertainment setups.
Whether you are streaming music from Spotify, TIDAL or Qobuz, connecting your television through HDMI ARC or enjoying your existing passive loudspeakers, the WiiM Amp Ultra brings everything together in one intelligent integrated amplifier.
Available in a premium aluminium chassis, with an impressive touchscreen display and intuitive controls, this is a streaming amplifier that combines everyday convenience with serious audio technology.
At the heart of the WiiM Amp Ultra is an advanced Class D amplification design featuring dual Texas Instruments TPA3255 amplifier chips. Delivering 100 watts per channel into 8-ohm speakers and up to 200 watts per channel into 4 ohms, the Amp Ultra has the power and control to drive a wide variety of bookshelf and floorstanding loudspeakers.
WiiM has incorporated Post Filter Feedback (PFFB) technology to improve amplifier performance and maintain a consistent frequency response across different speaker loads. This sophisticated design helps deliver clean, controlled and detailed sound, allowing you to enjoy your favourite music with impressive clarity. The amplifier also benefits from six TI OPA1612 operational amplifiers, contributing to its carefully engineered analogue signal path.
The WiiM Amp Ultra features the premium ESS ES9039Q2M SABRE DAC, providing high-quality digital-to-analogue conversion for detailed and accurate music reproduction. Supporting bit-perfect playback up to 24-bit/192kHz, the Amp Ultra allows you to enjoy high-resolution music from compatible streaming services and network sources. With a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 120dB and exceptionally low distortion, it has been designed to preserve the detail and dynamics of your digital music collection.
Unlike many conventional streaming amplifiers, the WiiM Amp Ultra places considerable emphasis on both appearance and usability. Its premium unibody aluminium construction provides a sophisticated finish, while its compact dimensions make it easy to integrate into a modern living room or dedicated hi-fi system.
On the front panel, a vibrant 3.5-inch glass-covered touchscreen provides convenient access to playback information, album artwork, music controls, settings and audio sources. A multifunction rotary control adds straightforward physical operation alongside the touchscreen interface. The supplied WiiM Voice Remote 2 provides another convenient way to control your music and adjust playback without reaching for your smartphone.
The WiiM Amp Ultra is designed to make accessing your music collection straightforward. With built-in network streaming, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and Ethernet connectivity, it provides plenty of flexibility for connecting to your home network and enjoying music from a wide range of sources.
Streaming compatibility includes:
The WiiM Home App brings your streaming services, music libraries, playback settings and multi-room controls together in one convenient interface. With Roon Ready support, the Amp Ultra can also become part of a Roon-based music system, providing convenient access to your digital music library and compatible streaming services.
One of the biggest advantages of the WiiM Amp Ultra is its versatility. Rather than being limited to network music streaming, it offers a selection of physical connections that allow you to integrate several components into your system.
HDMI ARC makes connecting your television straightforward, allowing you to enjoy improved stereo sound through your existing passive loudspeakers. Dolby Digital decoding provides additional flexibility for compatible television audio sources. An optical digital input allows you to connect compatible digital components, while the stereo RCA analogue input provides a connection for sources such as a CD player or a turntable fitted with its own phono preamplifier.
A dedicated subwoofer output also makes it easy to incorporate an active subwoofer, adding extra depth and weight to your music and television sound.
Getting the best sound from a hi-fi system involves more than simply choosing quality components. The listening environment and speaker positioning can have a significant influence on performance. WiiM's integrated RoomFit room correction technology helps optimise playback to suit your room's acoustic characteristics. Using compatible measurement functionality, RoomFit analyses the listening environment and applies adjustments to improve tonal balance.
The WiiM Home App also provides extensive sound customisation, including 24 preset EQ profiles, a 10-band graphic equaliser and a 10-band parametric equaliser. Independent settings for different inputs allow you to fine-tune your system according to your preferences. There is also dedicated subwoofer crossover control, making it easier to achieve a balanced combination of main speakers and an active subwoofer.
The WiiM Amp Ultra is equally at home as part of a standalone stereo system or a wider multi-room audio installation. Compatible with WiiM and Linkplay multi-room products, Google Cast and Alexa-enabled devices, it offers flexible options for distributing music around your home.
Stereo pairing and compatible home theatre configurations provide further flexibility, while regular over-the-air firmware updates help keep the amplifier's software and functionality up to date.
