Innuos Zen MkII Music Server

The Innuos Zen MkII Music Server is available for demonstration in our Hull store.

In the market for a steady, pain free streaming solution? Look no further than the Innuos Zen MKII music server. The middle model from the Innuos lineup the Zen MkII is drip fed the technology used in the flagship Zenith, at a more affordable price point.

The Zen MK II uses a medical grade mains filter and linear power supply, which serves to greatly reduce any electrical noise, the Zen also comes equipped with a quad core Intel CPU with 4GB of RAM and offers 2 GB of memory playback which means that any electrical noise generated by the spinning discs is kept under control.

The Zen MKII user interface is based on the much-loved Squeezebox platform from Logitech – which is solid & fast.

What sets the Innuos apart from its competitors is the inclusion of a built-in CD ripper, the ripper saves the CD rip as uncompressed FLAC or WAV files. You can also use various music streaming services such as Tidal, Qobuz and Spotify with the Innuos and internet radio. All this can be controlled via iPeng 9 for IOS and for Android users an app called Squeeze Commander.

Adding music to the Zen MK II is a simple task, when you want to put new albums on the Zen MKII via your computer, they need to go into a folder called auto-import. Then you go to the page on a web browser that finds your Innuos Zen MKII on your network and offers a variety of different settings including back-up, library and quarantine (this contains duplicates that you may not want on your Innuos). To get your album files into the library, go to the import page and choose ‘from auto-import’, the Zen then looks at the metadata for the new albums and sorts them into files for standard and high resolution titles. You can choose between two ripping formats, WAV or FLAC.

The Innuos Zen MkII Music Server is available in two HDD sizes, 2TB (£1499) or 4TB (£1799).
