Arcam Launch AVR5 AV Receiver

Retailing for £1999, the Arcam AVR5 AV Receiver slots into the range at the entry level position and allows Arcam to open up our class-leading product designs to a much wider audience.

For over 25 years Arcam have produced award winning home cinema products and have built a reputation based on their incredible amplifier topology. The AVR5 continues that trend of delivering stunning realism and a great home cinema experience. The AVR5 offers a comprehensive and configurable feature set. The Reciever has the same elegant exterior casework as its siblings coming complete with our 4.3” colour TFT screen.

Pop the hood and the AVR5 reveals 7 channels of Class AB amplification and a pair of ESS 9026PRO DACs as used in the ARCAM flag ship receiver, the AVR30. The AVR5 has 7x HDMI inputs and 2x HDMI outputs each being able to deal with 4K (UHD) HDMI2.0b and HDCP2.2 content. Please note that there will also be an option to upgrade the AVR5 to 8K pass-through when the HDMI 8K board becomes available.

Arcam AVR5 users will be able to stream from smartphones and tablets using Apple AirPlay2, Bluetooth aptX HD, Google Chromecast built-in, and Spotify Connect. The recently updated Music Life UPnP app enables playback and control of the AVR5 on Android and iOS and facilitates internet radio, music streaming, and podcast listening.

The new AVR5 AV Receiver also supports MQA allowing TIDAL HiFi subscribers to experience the highest available audio quality from TIDAL Master recordings. It’s Roon Ready status enables Roon members to use the system's acclaimed interface when surfing Qobuz, TIDAL, and locally stored music libraries. The AVR5 can also form part of a Roon-driven multi-room system, seeing it slot into even multi-brand home systems. The AVR5 is also Dirac ready.

The Arcam AVR5 AV Receiver will become available soon and we are expecting the first delivery before Christmas.
