Enhanced Isolation for Optimal Sound Quality

The Michell Orbe incorporates a sophisticated isolation system:

• Low Contact Area Feet: The turntable’s aluminum feet are designed to minimize the transfer of vibrations from the supporting surface, ensuring a clean and interference-free audio experience.

• Dual Acrylic Bases: Two high-density acrylic bases are separated by precision pinpoints, providing a rigid, non-resonant platform that significantly reduces structural feedback.

Precision Suspension and Sub-Chassis

• Three-Point Spring Suspension: Adjustable suspension towers hold the springs securely, enabling precise leveling of the sub-chassis for accurate playback.

• Weighted Pendulum Sub-Chassis: This design provides a stable and dense platform for the tonearm, main bearing, and platter. The sub-chassis absorbs unwanted vibrations, isolating critical components from resonance.

Advanced Main Bearing System

The inverted oil-circulating main bearing is a defining feature of the Orbe. Unlike conventional designs, the point of rotation is positioned at the top, allowing efficient lubrication during platter movement. The internal Archimedean screw mechanism circulates oil to reduce noise and enhance performance.

Impedance-Matched Platter for Stability

• Hinged Acrylic Lid: The dust cover protects the turntable while allowing easy access. The removable lid can be detached if necessary.

• Orbe Record Clamp: The screw-down clamp ensures secure contact between the vinyl and platter, reducing resonance and addressing warps in records.
