Audiolab M-DAC+ A Closer Look

Launched at the end of January 2016 the M-DAC+ is a superior version of the critically acclaimed Audiolab M-DAC.

The original M-DAC built up a fantastic reputation since its launch in 2011, claiming a host of product of the year awards from What Hi-Fi?, Hi-Fi Choice and EISA. The Audiolab M-DAC+ is essentially built on the same design of its younger brother but houses key changes for just an extra £200.

Like the original M-DAC the plus is built around a champion 32-bit DAC chipset, the ESS Sabre32 9018. The DAC chip is surrounded by exceptional circuitry including Audiolabs own master clock to minimise jitter. A JFET class A output stage used in the M-DAC+ also ensures that no audio quality is lost following the signal conversion from digital to analogue.

Physically the M-DAC+ features new casing available in either black or silver, and now includes an OLED display. Matching the appearance of Audiolabs premium 8300 range. A clean, simple to use and contemporary design the new M-DAC+ fits in with modern life.
