Fanthorpes HiFi - The Week Ahead 28th August - 1st September

Hey everyone, the August bank holiday weekend is almost upon us! This means a slightly shorter working week for us but still busy one non the less. As always, we’ve got in store demonstrations and installations on the cards, plus a trip over to Wales at the end of the week to look out for…

The idea is to give you an insight into our working week here at Fanthorpes HiFi. With what demonstrations we are doing in store and in customers’ homes, services we offer, as well as give you an insight into the distances we travel over a working week.

Tuesday 28^th August

A free date in out calendar for now! If this fills up at a later date, we’ll update the post and let you know. Alternatively, if you want to take advantage of the services we offer on Tuesday 28 ^th drop us an email or give us a call and we’ll try our best to make it happen.

Wednesday 29^th August

We have a local install lined up for Wednesday, this customer is upgrading their speakers and have opted for the Dali Rubicon 2, a fantastic standmount speaker the Rubicon 2 offer superb build quality, wonderfully agile and nimble sound, excellent stereo imaging and expressive midrange.

Thursday 30^th August

Another Hull based install is on the cards for Thursday, this time we are installing a vinyl orientated system for a customer. They have opted for the Pro-ject Xpression Carbon turntable alongside the versatile Cyrus One Amplifier and the Monitor Audio Silver 50 Speakers. This is a fantastic system that offers real bang for your buck.

Friday 31^st August

We’re heading across to Wales on Friday for two visits to customers, our first stop is in Kilgeddin to set up a pair of Bryston 28B3 power amplifiers for a customer on home demonstration. They already own a great high end system that comprises of AVID Sequel SP turntable with a SME 309 tonearm and Cadenza Red cartridge, Innuos Zenith streamer, Audio Research Reference 6 Pre Amplifier and KEF Blade 2 speakers. This customer currently uses Bryston 7B3 mono power amps but is considering making the switch to the 28B3 amplifiers.

After the Bryston 28B3 install, we’re heading over to Monmouth to set up a pair of PMC IB2 SE speakers for a customer, they are making upgrading from the PMC Twenty 26 which we are taking in part exchange.

Saturday 1^st September

Due to the miles racked up and work done on Friday our install team will set off from a local hotel and head on back to Hull.

Back in the shop we have a demonstration booked in, the customer already owns a Stemfoort SF-200 integrated amplifier and is looking for a new set of speakers to partner his amplifier. We’ll have a few options set up for him including the Spendor D7, PMC Twenty5 23 and Dali Epicon 2.
