Fanthorpes HiFi - The Week Ahead 29th October - 3rd November

Hey everyone, this blog post is to tell you what we’re up to next week.

The idea is to give you an insight into our working week here at Fanthorpes HiFi. With what demonstrations we are doing in store and in customers’ homes, services we offer, as well as give you an insight into the distances we travel over a working week.

Monday 29^th October

We kick start the week of with a great little HiFi install, we’re heading down to Lincoln to set up a pair of Neat Motive SX3 Standmount speakers, that will sit on a pair of HiFi Racks Duet speaker stands, these will be hooked up to a Cyrus One integrated amplifier. Once the customers new HiFi is installed we are taking an Onkyo 9010 amplifier and Q Acoustic 3050 speakers in part exchange.

Tuesday 30^th October

An instore demonstration is booked in for Tuesday, this customer is on the look out for a new set of speakers, he currently owns a pair of Linn AV 5140 floorstanders and is interested in the PMC Twenty5 23 and Twenty5 24 speakers. The customer is bringing his own tracks on a USB drive that we will upload to our Innuos Zenith server, this will be hooked up to the Chord Electronics Hugo TT and Chord Electronics Amplification.

Wednesday 31^st October

Wednesday is a slightly different day for us. We’ve got the chaps from SME popping in to pay us a visit, We’ll make sure the we have a mug of the finest Yorkshire tea ready! It’s always great to see members of the industry pop in, it allows us to turn our focus to a particular brand serving as a nice refresher course and to possibly learn about any new products on the horizon.

Thursday 1^st November

We have a fantastic Chord Electronics demo booked in for Thursday. Already a current Chord Electronics owner, this customer is looking to make an upgrade on his amplification. We will have the Chord CPA5000 Preamp set up alongside the SPM1400 MKII Mono Power Amplifiers, for the front end of the system we will have the Chord Blu CD Transport running into the DAVE DAC. This customer already owns a pair of Dali Epicon 6 speakers, so we will have these running on a pair of Townshend Isolation Podiums. Finally, all the equipment will be connected up with Chord Signature cables.

Friday 2^nd November

We’re heading over to York for a home audition of Friday. This customer owns a Devialet 1000 Pro, Martin Logan Speakers and a Pro-ject Signature 10 turntable. He is looking to make a change from his current deck and is considering the Luxman PD171a. While we are at his house auditioning the turntable, we will also upgrade the firmware in his 1000 Pro.

Saturday 3^rd November
