Cyrus announces One Cast streaming amplifier.
The Cyrus One Cast is a 100W per channel Class D stereo amplifier that you can stream high-quality music to from your phone using Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music, iTunes, Qobuz, Tidal
Priced at £1299 the ONE Cast is designed to work with all three popular voice assistants, Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri. The upshot being you can send music from an Apple Homepod, Amazon Echo or Google Home smart speaker to the ONE Cast just by telling it to do so.
If you have voice assistant smart speakers on the same wifi network, you can use voice commands to send music directly to your ONE Cast or even set it as part of a group for multiroom audio. Onr Cast works with the leading voice control platforms from Google, Apple and Amazon
A wireless multiroom setup can be created using multiple Onr Casts or by integrating one into an existing system that uses other smart speakers. All it takes is to assign the devices a name and location and then listen to your favourite music, radio and podcasts in any room or several at once.
Using AirPlay2, the inbuilt Chromecast or Bluetooth, the Onr Cast can connect wirelessly to almost any device.
Additionally, its wired connections include a USB input for Hi-Res audio files from a laptop or streaming device, as well as optical and coaxial digital inputs. The onboard ESS 32-bit DAC will handle up to 32 bit/192kHz digital files and DSD 128.
You can even upgrade your TVs sound using the HDMI-ARC input.
Analogue signals can be fed into the One Cast using inputs that can be configured in a fixed gain mode as well as from a turntable thanks to a built-in Moving Magnet phono stage.
Finally, the 85 x 220 x 390mm (H X W X D) ONE Cast also features a “class-leading” headphone amplifier for late-night listening.
