Fanthorpes HiFi - Weekly Wrap Up 14th - 18th February 2022

Hey everyone, as always, we had another busy week as we review what we have been up to this week.

The idea is to give you an insight into our working week here at Fanthorpes HiFi. With what demonstrations we are doing in store and in customers’ homes, services we offer, as well as give you an insight into the distances we travel over a working week.

Monday 14^th February

We started the week off with a trip down to Hatfield, Hertfordshire to set up a preowned Chord Electronics Red Reference CD Player, on from there our installer headed to Addlestone in Surrey to deliver a Chord Electronics Coral stand to an existing customer. Our installer stayed over in a local hotel as we had a few more miles to rack up on Tuesday!

Back in the store we had a demonstration of some different amplification options for a customer. First up was the Chord Electronics DAVE and Etude Power Amplifier before listening to the Musical Fidelity M6s PRE and M8500s Power Amplifier. Both set of amps were hooked up to a pair of PMC Twenty5 26 speakers.

Tuesday 15^th February

After spending the night in a local hotel our installer headed down to Broadstone, Dorset to deliver and install a set of Monitor Audio PL200 II speakers, once that set up was complete, he drove to Eastleigh to deliver a set of preowned PMC Twenty5 24 speakers and collect a set of KEF Reference 4 speakers that we took in part exchange.

Another demo was booked in the store, this time a speaker shootout between the Monitor Audio Silver 300 and Martin Logan Motion 20i. The speakers were hooked up to an Audiolab preamplifier/DAC and PS Audio S300 Power amplifier to match the customers’ existing electronics.

Wednesday 16^th February

Another day another demo, this time on Wednesday we had the Exposure 3010 mono amps set up, which was the focus of the demo. The rest of the electronics consisted off a Sugden preamplifier, Chord Electronics Qutest and Innuos Zen MK3 Music Server. PMC Twenty5 21i Speakers and Chord Epic cable completed the set up.

Thursday 17^th February

Thursday our installer headed north of the boarder up to Linlithgow, West Lothian to deliver and set up a pair of Monitor Audio PL200 II Speakers and collect a trade in of Monitor Audio Silver 500 speakers. The customer was also interested in home auditioning a preowned Cyrus CDXT Signature that we have, so we took that up with us too.

Friday 18^th February

On the last day of the week, we headed across the Pennines to Stockport to deliver and set up a set of Dali Epicon 2 Speakers with matching stands, we also collected some trade in too, a set of KEF LS50 Speakers and a Cyrus Lyric 09.
