Fanthorpes HiFi - The Week Ahead 11th - 16th June

Hey everyone, after taking a week off from the blog writing last week, we’re back with a bang! We’ve got a fair few installations and home demos lined up keeping us busy all week. This is our ‘Week Ahead’ blog post for 11th to 16th of June.

The idea is to give you an insight into our working week here at Fanthorpes HiFi. With what demonstrations we are doing in store and in customers’ homes, services we offer, as well as give you an insight into the distances we travel over a working week.

Monday 11^th June

We’ve got an installation to start the kick the week off, we’ll be heading to a village on the outskirts of west Hull to set up a fantastic ‘entry level’ HiFi system. Amplification wise we are supplying the Pro-Ject Maia, a great little versatile amplifier that’s includes a built in Phono stage, DAC as well as Bluetooth connectivity all for £400. The Maia amplifier will be partnered with a pair of Dali Zensor 1 standmount speakers.

After the mornings installation is complete we’ve got an in store demonstration in the afternoon. The customer already owns a Cyrus signature system and is looking to upgrade their current speakers, Mission 753 speakers. We’ll be demonstrating both the Spendor A6R and new Spendor A7 Speakers on a Cyrus Signature system.

Tuesday 12^th June

Tuesday sees us hit the road down to the Capital. Our final destination is Epsom to install an Innuos Zenith SE, we’ve supplied this customer with his existing system which consists of a Chord DAVE DAC, Blu II CD Transport, Chord Electronics CPA5000 pre-amplifier and SPM1400 mono power amps, that feed into a pair of PMC Fact 12 speakers. The Innuos Zenith SE will complete his high-end system, now allowing him to stream his music collection too.

Before we arrive in Epsom, we’ve are delivering a pair of second hand Dynaudio Focus 260 speakers in Reading.

Wednesday 13^th June

After a busy day on Tuesday we’ll spend the night in a local hotel before heading to Tottenham Wednesday morning for a home demonstration. This customer already owns a pair of Bryston 7B3 amplifiers and is considering upgrading to a pair 28B3 amplifiers to partner his PMC MB2 SE. He's also asked if we can bring along the PS Audio DirectStream DAC to see how it compares to his Chord DAVE DAC.

Thursday 14^th June

We’re back in store Thursday after a busy two days on the road. We have an instore demo of the PMC Twenty 26 speakers to set up. This customer already a full Cyrus signature system and is looking to a new pair of speakers to partner their electronics.

Friday 15^th June

Another day in and around Hull is on the cards, this time we’ve got a local install booked in. This customer has bought a streaming-based system from us which consists of the Innuos Zen MKII music server, the Audiolab M-ONE integrated amplifier and a pair of Dali Opticon 1 speakers. Cable wise the customer has opted for Chord Sarsen speaker cable and a Chord C-USB.

Saturday 16^th June

A trip across the Humber Bridge to Grimsby is booked in on Saturday. This is to install a pre-owned system a customer had a demonstration of last week. This customer opted for the Leema Tucana Anniversary amplifier, Moon Neo 260D CD Transport and Dali Euphonia MS4 Floorstanding speakers.
