Fanthorpes HiFi - The Week Ahead 29th May - 2nd June

Hey folks, the weeks keep ticking by, with this blog post taking us up to the 2 ^nd of June. We’ve got a slightly shorter week in front of us, due to the bank holiday weekend, but it’s still going to be a crazy busy week!

The idea is to give you an insight into our working week here at Fanthorpes HiFi. With what demonstrations we are doing in store and in customers’ homes, services we offer, as well as give you an insight into the distances we travel over a working week.

Tuesday 29^th May

After returning from a nice bank holiday weekend, we hit the road straight away with a trip to Droitwich Spa in Worcestershire to home audition a pair of PMC Twenty5 23 speakers. We’ll have a new pair of Twenty5 23 speakers in the van too, just incase the customer decides he wants a pair.

Once the home audition is finished, we’ll head further south to Bristol, this time to install a pair of PMC Twenty5 26 speakers.

After the miles racked up and work done on Tuesday, we’ll spend the night in a hotel.

Wednesday 30^th May

As already mentioned we'll be setting off back to Hull from a hotel, but we have a stop to make on the way in Cheltenham where we are installing a Innuos Zenith server. We are also supplying a M2Tech Hiface which is a USB to coax converter, as well as a Chord Shawline digital interconnect, this will allow our customer to connect the Zenith to his existing DAC.

Thursday 31st May

Thursday sees us head down to Loughborough in Leicestershire to install a full HiFi system. At the heart of the system will be the AVM Evolution CS 5.2 Streaming CD-Receiver a fantastically versatile one box solution! We are also supplying the Project Xtension 10 turntable equipped with an Ortofon 2m Black cartridge. For the speakers the customer has opted for the PMC Twenty5 23, we’ll be using Chord Epic speaker cable to connect them to the AVM. Finally all the electronics will sit on an Atacama Evoque Eco 60-40 HiFi rack.

Friday 1st June

Back in Hull on Friday for a Turntable install. We’ll be visiting this customer to install the SME Model 10 turntable with a SME 309 tonearm.

Saturday 2nd June

Another local-ish job today, this time its over to Market Weighton for a home audition. This customer already owns a Sugden a21a integrated amplifier but is looking for an upgrade.We are taking two new integrated amplifiers for him to consider. First up we have the Sugden A21 Signature, we'll also be taking the Stemfoort SF-200.
